Perfect for new musicians learning the fundamentals with friends while experienced students are challenged with more complex music and ensemble opportunities.
Competitions
Solo & Ensembles events as well as full band competitions introduce an amazing world of possibilities. All of our events work together to mature students from 1st time contests to all region and all state events as well as more experienced and mature students aspire to college admittance and scholarship auditions.
Performances
Showcase your progress at concerts and community events throughout the year. As we enter our 5th year, we have even more performance invitations and opportunities to celebrate our students throughout the DFW area, and yes the rumors are true….

Class Schedules
Weekly band classes and private lessons for all ages.
We have 2 honor band locations that meet once per week and our private lessons are available any day, Monday-Saturday!

My kids started playing trombone and saxophone last June and it’s been so much fun to see how much they’ve learned in just a year. They started from zero – not even knowing how to read music – and now they play full songs with great rhythm and technique. Their confidence has grown, and most of all, they love playing!

As a homeschool student, my daughter had a rather late start to band. She started as a sophomore in high school, under the direction of Scott Himel. And now … after just 3 years of band under Mr. Himel, my daughter joined her college band with a scholarship! Because of Scott’s encouragement she now plays saxophone with the Arkansas Razor Backs Marching Band, Bass Clarinet with the Wind Symphony and flute with the worship team.
